Silver Sunday

Next event:

FREE event for all Lewisham over-60’s!

Silver Sunday is a flagship initiative of the Sir Simon Milton Foundation. It started with a tea dance and within a few short years has turned into a national campaign to tackle the blight of loneliness that affects so many older people. It is a day in the national calendar, the first Sunday in October, when we ask the nation to pause and think about older people and celebrate their contribution to society.

The Positive Ageing Council are excited to bring you an afternoon of discovery, fun and celebration on for this years Silver Sunday!  Including musical offerings from Dougie Swizz on Steelpans, Old-time singalong with Evadne Bygrave and Give a Song, screening of In Living Memory film, crafts, information stalls and free massage tasters from Therapy 4 Healing.

Tea, coffee, cold drinks, cake and small savoury snacks will be provided.

The event is free of charge and open to all Lewisham residents aged 60 and over.
