Readings and discussion with fiction author Nat Reeve, presenting their books Nettleblack and Earlyfate.

Nat Reeve is a novelist and a Lecturer in English and Creative Writing. Nat has a PhD in Victorian Studies from Royal Holloway, and his debut novel Nettleblack was published by Cipher Press in 2022. Nettleblack was a 2022 Fiction Book of the Year at the LRB Bookshop and Blackwell’s Manchester, and a Waterstones Bookseller Fave of the Year; it follows a gang of queer misfit Victorian detectives causing chaos in a small country town. Earlyfate, the sequel, involves a local nonbinary cravat designer ruining the detectives’ week in every possible way – it was published in October 2024 and is a Lunate Book of the Year.
