About Ashley: Ashley Noel-Hirst is a musician and PhD candidate at The Centre for Doctoral Training in AI and Music at Queen Mary University of London. Ashley performed with the band ‘Malady’ for several years before working on his electronic productions under the name ‘Quashie’. In his PhD, Ashley investigates the role of AI in the creative process. He has designed several interactive and generative musical systems along the way, some of which have been performed at SXSW and Iklectik Art Lab.
