It’s a Deptford Lounge takeover!

Come along for a day of market fun, with food, homewares, fashion and other items made by local businesses in and around Lewisham. Find out about what’s going on with local community groups ; take part in a fun family activity outside on Giffin Square; browse the stalls and food options inside and outside. We’ll be highlighting local businesses featured on the new House of Lewisham website and traders who have used Lewisham Libraries’ BIPC for support in launching and growing their business.

We’ve also invited award-winning illustrator (and local resident) Onyinye Iwu along to celebrate the publication of her new picture book ‘The Best Jollof Rice Ever!’. Join Onyinye in the children’s library at 2pm for a storytelling and drawing workshop.

Food: from delicious fruit ice cream to adventurous Afro-Tex fusion and artisan jarred pickles, there’s something for everyone.

Books: local adult and children’s authors selling and reading from their works in our Reading Nook.
