Introduction to Selling Your Products Online

Whether you are an aspiring entrepreneur, a small business owner, or a marketing professional, you will learn basic yet crucial information in this session on setting up, designing, and managing an online store to sell your products or services. We will use Shopify as an example of e-commerce platforms.

Who is it for?

Anyone who would like to start, manage and grow their business by selling their product on an e-commerce platform.

How does it work?

Theoretical and practical.

  • The theory section will describe and use/show examples to talk about what e-commerce platforms are and how they can be used.
  • The practical section will be hands-on experience, setting up and creating your online shop. You will be asked to think about what you are selling, who your target audience is, what you want it to feel and look, etc, and start the setup.

What will be covered?

The session will cover an introduction to

  • How online shops work in a digital age. What are the pros and cons?
  • Setting up the store and understanding the basic configuration
  • Designing the store
  • Adding an example of products to get a hands-on experience in uploading, and best practice
  • Marketing and integration with social media and other platforms
  • Using analytics tools to monitor activities
  • Managing orders, delivery systems, customer service, pricing and return policies
