Paint the streets with a hopscotch of flowers!
Living Spaces is an interactive public artwork created collaboratively using chalk pens and stencils. Monday 1st June will be a day of reclaiming Giffin Square to humanise the urban, bring play into the everyday and encourage tactile, physical engagement.
Funded and facilitated by the BBC and The Albany, bright flowers will be scattered across the ground in a hopscotch style trail. It invites passers-by to step and skip their way through the space, interrupting the logic of straight lines and productivity, encouraging people to move differently and reconnect with their bodies in a joyful and autonomous way.
This is open and encouraged for everyone with various coloured chalk pens and stencils provided.
Expect funky tunes and free ice cream!
