Lewisham Libraries Celebrates Local Writers

Saturday 21 March, 2.30pm

Age Guidance: All Ages

Join Lewisham Libraries for an exciting spoken word event featuring talented local writers, and an open mic. This event is part of Deptford Literature Festival.

Building on the success of last year’s event Lewisham Libraries are once again featuring writers and poets from local groups; Lewisham Multicultural Writers, Torridon Writers and Forest Hill Stanza. You can expect poetry and other writing full of life’s joys, fears and ups and downs.

And if you are a writer or poet yourself they would love to invite you to perform a short piece during the last segment. There are eight slots on a first come first served basis. Please give your name to the hosts prior or during the event.

They will be holding a book signing after the event featuring published works by their featured authors including poetry, fiction, non-fiction and children’s books.

Please book your free ticket on London Writers Centre’s website. We look forward to seeing you there.

Length: 2 hours
